The last two weeks, 28 #popcares volunteers worked shifts at Harvesters – The Community Food Network sorting and bagging onions, and preparing bags of food for the BackSnack program.
The first group of volunteers spent two hours sorting out fresh onions and then bagging and sealing them to put into large cartons. In two hours they filled 2 1/2 cartons full of fresh onions to be used in Harvesters programs!
The second group set a new record of preparing 675 bags of food for the BackSnack program in just under two hours! 20,000 bags of food are distributed to children weekly in the KC Metro.

Our team had a great time participating in these volunteer activities and look forward to more to come!
