Last month, POP held a school supply drive for KVC Kansas where almost 200 backpack sets were collected and donated to the cause.
This morning, 10 POP volunteers loaded a moving truck with 800 backpacks, hygienic products and care kits which will be shared with agencies in Wyandotte County for distribution to children in foster care, and prepped over 350 backpacks to a loading area for case workers to easily distribute.
July 16th–27th POP held a Back-to-School Drive for KVC Kansas.
KVC Kansas represents one of the strongest and broadest child welfare and behavioral healthcare continuums in the nation. Responsible for the care of all children served by the Kansas Department for Children and Families’ Kansas City Metro and Eastern Regions, which includes 30 counties and more than half of all children in the child welfare system.
